Over 90% of the US population has some degree of candida overgrowth. Candida overgrowth is a nasty yeast problem that is capableof being potentially destructive to your body, causing perceived negative effects in both men and women. Candida is a yeast organism that normally resides in the intestinal tract along with a host of beneficial bacteria. The problem begins when your bacteria is killed off... for example-through the use of antibiotics. Candida is capable of multipling out of control. Candida is a living organism the excretes waste. These wastes are toxic and are capable of causing a wide variety of very real problems including poor digestion, fatigue, bloat, gas, poor elimination, mood swings, sugar and carbohydrate cravings, head pain, brain fog, female issues, skin rashes, lowered immunity, and much more. Poor diet, excessive sugar, antibiotics, oral contraceptives, and chemicals found in drinking water are just a few of the factors that may make your body susceptible to candida overgrowth. People who have been battling these chronic symptoms such as fatigue and low immunity without relief would do well to explore the possibility of candida overgrowth and take the necessary steps to help this condition.
What is Candida?Candida albicans, and other strains of Candida are yeast that normally inhabits your digestive system: the mouth, throat, intestines and genitourinary tract. Candida is a normal part of the bowel flora (the organisms that naturally live inside your intestines, and are not parasitic). It has many functions inside our digestive tract, one of them to recognise and destroy harmful bacteria.

There is not any one single cause of any dis-ease. We are capable of only speaking about cofactors, causative agents and life situations that similar to pieces of a puzzle comes together and promote dis-ease. Modern medical science, in our perception is too quick to blame too many ailments and illness on what it perceives of as "bad genes," viruses, and bacteria, ... The clear truth is, no dis-ease is caused only by a single factor, or only by 3 cofactors. It is possible that there are capable of being virtually hundreds of cofactors / causative agents that each have casual relationship to perceived poor immunity, poor health, accumulation of toxins inside body, poor thoughts, and that promotes dis-ease.
Some physicians believe there is no foundation for chronic candidiasis. Others believe the abdominal symptoms may be the result of fermentation in the gut. (Fermentation, as any amateur brewer knows, requires yeast!)
Most important cofactors are lack of knowledge, poor thoughts, lack of consciousness, lifestyle, diet, exposure to toxins, exposure to viruses, bacteria, yeast, parasitic animals, unpleasant life situations. What are deemed of as "bad genes," viruses and bacteria are the last causative agent in the long raw of of real life hazards.
We are only able to recognise the largest and most common pieces of this puzzle, while some "smaller" pieces are often unrecognisable. Your physical body, mind and lifestream are one with your environment. Anything that disturbs balance inside your physical body, mind, spirit, or your relationship with environment promotes dis-ease.
Diet (all what you are eating) is one of the most important aspect of your health.
Candida Diet
When you begin your yeast diet, there are two ways it is capable of affecting you. You may begin to experience the sensation of clearer health straight away, or if you are full of toxins, you may experience a poorer quality of health for a few days before you notice improvement. As you begin to experience improved health, you may choose that it will not hurt you to cheat a little here and there. And it may not. Though it may. This is where you come in for the reason that only you know how you are truly experiencing your body. And after you cheat, if you find that you experience as awful, you will at least know what it is that made you this way. And then you can consciously make a decision if it was worth it or not.
Regardless, your healing will rest on your shoulders, and that is exactly where it requires to be.
The food that feed yeast are:
- Avoid all fruits (fresh, frozen or dried), except you are capable of choosing to eat grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangerines, strawberries, cranberries, kiwi, currants, mangoes, bananas & fresh pineapple.
- Do not eat walnuts or chickpeas. Any other nut, bean or seed is okay to eat. The only vegetables to stay clear of are mushrooms and sweet potatoes, so eat lots of fresh veggies (remember, organic is always clearer for the body).
- No chocolate or caffeine
Small amounts of natural chocolates from the health food store are okay on a very limited basis to get over the cravings. Water processed decaffeinated coffee is okay, though limit to one cup per day. Even healthier would be a coffee substitute that is capable of being found at the health food store, such as Kaffree Roma.- And stay clear of regular sodas, teas & city water. The healthiest things to drink are grapefruit juice or a natural lemonade. Well or bottled water is important as you will require to flush your system! Herbal teas are healthy as long as they do not contain the fruits that are not allowed on the diet. Echinacea tea and Pau D'Arco tea are healthy for the immune system. For a treat, a natural soda such as one from the health food store is allowed, though again, do not be abusive and watch the fruits! Mineral waters are fine, though again watch the fruits!
- Your sugars of choice are pure maple syrup, barley malt, rice malt, molasses, organic cane juice crystals, stevia & sucanat. Very small amounts of honey are allowed, though make sure they are last in the ingredient listings. Stay clear of refined sugars!!
- Yeast of all kinds are required to be avoided! Read labels, it is in a great deal of ingredients including breads and crackers. Your bread of choice will be whole grain sourdough bread (such as Baldwin Hill or French Meadow breads). Look for crackers that are whole grain and yeast free. You are required to avoid enriched foods, such as crackers, pastas, etc, as they usually enrich with yeast. Stick to whole grain or semolina pastas. Avoid cow cheese. Instead, substitute with rice or goat cheese. If you choose soy, soy & rice cheese now come in a variety of flavours, including mozzarella, Swiss, American, parmesan, sour cream & cream cheese.
- Remember that anything that weakens the body will make the candida stronger, including artificial flavors, colors and especially artificial sweeteners, chemical preservatives and additives.
- Beware of BHT, MSG, etc. If you are npt capable of reading it, you most likely are not capable of eating it! Look for condiments that contain the beneficial oils, such as safflower, sunflower, canola, or olive oil. Tamari (a naturally fermented soy sauce) is okay to use in cooking, though not its chemical counterpart (regular soy sauce).
- Beer and wine are definitely not allowed! Of course, no alcohol would be beneficial, though with yeast, if you are going to drink, drink intelligently. Limit to two drinks a night and include those fruits that will not feed yeast. Therefore, a gin and tonic with lemon or lime would be acceptable, along with a vodka and grapefruit juice.
- This healing process is about you and how you experience you physical body. Get in touch with yourself. As you begin to expereience being healthier, note this as well. Be honest with yourself. So many of you have forgotten how to do that it almost becomes impossible to see when changes do occur. Enjoy each energy shift you experience. As you become aware of healing changes taking place, recognise them and enjoy the ride. Become joyful and appreciative of each small step you take in the accurate direction. Every cell in your body will eventually become aware of how delighted you are and they will become delighted as well. Always strive to think in a constructive manner. It's essential to your healing process.
